As expected, Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) next-generation iPhone should go into production starting this month.
Citing Taiwan's Economic Daily, Reuters said the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will being production during the third week of July, with the larger 5.5-inch version starting production in the second week of August.
Hon Hai Precision (Foxconn) will be producing the device. It was noted that the company will hire about 100,000 workers to meet production demands for the device.
Foxconn peer Pegatron will also add about 10,000 workers as production ramps.
Shares of Apple are indicated higher Friday morning.
