RIM's (RIMM) BB10 Browser Speed Has the Competition Sweating (AAPL) (GOOG)
Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) may have a winner on its hands with the new BlackBerry 10 (BB10) operating system. At least, in terms of browser speed.
According to a speed test by The Gadget Masters, as highlighted by BGR, BB10's Internet browser on the Dev Alpha B smartphone kept pace with competition from Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iOS 6 and Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows Phone 8 (being run on an HTC 8X).
Notably, it wasn't the final version of BB10, meaning some improvements might be able to be made ahead of the early 2013 launch.
Missing from the tests was a device running Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android mobile OS running a stock browser or even Chrome.

Shares of RIM are up 0.7 percent Wednesday.
