Oppenheiner analyst Meredith Whitney downgraded Wachovia (NYSE: WB) from Perform to Underperform, saying the earnings outlook has dramatically diminished and prospects for stockholders are "bleak".
Whitney sees a 2008 loss of $1.35 and a loss of $0.35 in 2009.
