Oclaro, Inc. (Nasdaq: OCLR) is catching some investor attention following news earlier that the company received shareholder approval in its acquisition of Opnext, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPXT), which closed on July 23rd. In the deal, Opnext shareholders will receive a fixed ratio of 0.42 shares of Oclaro common stock for every share of Opnext common stock they own.
Shares of Oclaro are up about 13 percent on the session. Implied volatility on the shares is up 11.6 percent from Monday's close to 5.44 percent. The number is 120 percent above its annual average.
