Nokia (NOK) Sees Upside as Windows 8 Phone Event Appears to Be Set

Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK) is higher after the company and partner Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) announced a joint press conference on September 5 related to Nokia's Lumia Windows-based phone.
The event will take place in New York at 9:30AM ET.
While no details were given, many expect the announcement will center around Nokia's first Windows 8 phone. This would put its release ahead of the expected September 12th release of Apple's iPhone 5.
Shares of NOK last traded up 4.6 percent to $2.61.
