Nokia (NOK) Becomes King of Windows Phone in Short Order

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is slowly, but surely, becoming king of the Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows Phone environment. According to data sourced from Localytics, Nokia's global Windows Phone market share rose from 22 percent in January, to 60 percent now. Others with notable share include Samsung at 13 percent and HTC at 21 percent.
In the U.S., Nokia's share rose from zero to 32 percent. Comparably, Samsung commands 26 percent and HTC is at 36 percent.
Total Windows Phone handsets grew 312 percent since January and 273 percent in the U.S.
Ahead of the bell, Nokia is indicated higher.
