Netflix, Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) is lower again on the session Wednesday following a 1.6 percent dip on Tuesday, with news of more competition for the streaming media-and-DVD rental giant.

According to earlier reports, Amazon.com's (Nasdaq: AMZN) Instant Video is now available on the Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPad. Previously, Instant Video was only available to view via a TV or PC.

In addition to streaming, users will be able to download video to watch while not connected to a network. Amazon's Whispersync technology will also allow users to view content which is paused or stopped on a different device, say, starting a movie on your TV then continuing it on your iPad at a later time.

News today follows reports yesterday that Apple was brining Hulu Plus to its Apple TV device.

Shares of Netflix are off 2.8 percent Wednesday morning.
