Nestle Has An Extra $28 Billion, And Now Could Go After GIS or MJN - CNBC
On CNBC's Strategy Session, David Faber commented on Nestle related to its $28 billion cash windfall today from completing the sale of its majority stake in Alcon (NYSE: ACL) to Novartis.
Faber said now Nestle could buy the remaining share of Loreal, or could make a friendly bid for food partner General Mills Inc. (NYSE: GIS).
On the show, an analyst at Citigroup said he thinks Mead Johnson Nutrition (NYSE: MJN) is a more logical takeover target.
BTW: MJN is number 18 on the 'Top 50 Takeover Targets' list at StreetInsider.com's M&A Central.
