Most Mobile Messaging App Users Still Worried About Privacy (FB) (LN)

Messenger apps have become popular forms of communication in recent years, but most users are still worried about their privacy.
GlobalWebIndex said today that around 58 percent of those using WhatsApp, Line, or Facebook Messenger are concerned about how their personal privacy is being handled. Around 50 percent would prefer to stay anonymous while using a messaging app.
GWI noted that most users then take extraordinary efforts to stay private, such as using VPNs and anti-tracking software. The firm believes that the company whom can allay privacy fears among its user based first is likely to be the most successful in the messaging realm.
