Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: KERX) 52.8% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.01, 9 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.08) and compared to a loss of $0.79 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $3.3 million, versus the consensus of $320K.

Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA) 20% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $3.42, versus the analyst estimate of ($1.73). Revenue for the quarter was $2.2 billion, versus the consensus of $2.15 billion.

Power Medical Intervention, Inc. (Nasdaq: PMII) 18.8% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.41, 2 cents worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.39). Revenue for the quarter was $2.7 million, versus the consensus of $2.90 million.

Brigham Exploration Company (Nasdaq: BEXP) 18.3% LOWER; commenced an underwritten public offering, subject to market and other conditions, of 30,000,000 shares of common stock under its existing shelf registration statement. The underwriters will have a 30-day option to purchase up to 4,500,000 additional shares of common stock.

Aegean Marine Petroleum (NYSE: ANW) 17.3% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.10, versus the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter was $365.4 million, versus the consensus of $485.58 million.

WSP Holdings Limited (NYSE: WH) 17.2% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.21, versus the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $195.5 million, versus the consensus of $131 million.

Fortress Investment Group LLC (NYSE: FIG) 14.1% LOWER; plans to raise $125 million in a public offering of its Class A shares. The Company expects to grant the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional $18.75 million of Class A shares to cover over-allotments, if any.

China Sky One Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: CSKI) 13.4% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.43, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenue for the quarter was $24.8 million, versus the consensus of $25.29 million. Sees FY09 sales of $128-$130 million, versus the Street estimate of $124.45 million.

EnerSys (NYSE: ENS) 11% LOWER; raises its Q4 adj-EPS guidance from $0.30-$0.34 to $0.36, which compares to the Street estimate of $0.29. Sees Q1 adj-EPS of $0.13-$0.17, versus the Street estimate of $0.31. Sees FY09 non-GAAP EPS of $1.98, versus the consensus of $1.91.

Gildan Activewear Inc. (NYSE: GIL) 9.5% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.06, 4 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter was $244.8 million, versus the consensus of $226.42 million.

MGM Mirage (NYSE: MGM) 9.4% LOWER; priced its 143 million shares common stock offering at $7 per share. This is 19.5% discount to yesterday close of $8.70, the $12.40 close on Tuesday and $13.10 close on Monday.

MBIA (NYSE: MBI) 9.1% LOWER; being sued by a group of 18 banks over MBIA's business split. The suit claims that the decision to split was fraudulent and left one of MBIA's units effectively insolvent.

Syneron Medical Ltd. (Nasdaq: ELOS) 9% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of $0.23, ex-items, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.16). Revenue for the quarter was $11.9 million, versus the consensus of $14.42 million.

Bank of Ireland (NYSE: IRE) 8.4% HIGHER; slightly correcting today following an 18% drop yesterday.
