Milton Bradley Takes Out Full Page Ad Telling Chicago Cubs Fans To Go to Hell

UPDATE: The Chicago Tribune said it didn't run such an ad. Called it a parody. Funny.

Disgruntled ex-Chicago Cubs baseball player Milton Bradley has found a creative way to use newspaper advertising - to tell fans to go to hell.

Apparently, Bradley took out a full page ad in yesterday's Chicago Tribune ripping into "racist" fans, former teammates, manager Lou Piniella, the media and umpires which he said "conspired against" him. In the ad, Bradley said he feels cursed to have been part of the Cubs and said he is in "utter disgust" over the fans bitterness and hatred. Bradley also takes a swing at the Cubs infamous losing ways saying "I guess 100-plus years of losing makes people intolerably cruel and insensitive."

Milton Bradley is now headed to the Seattle Mariners.

Bradley's full-page communique follows the actions of recently traded Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Roy Halladay, who took out a similar ad to thank fans for their support throughout his career.

So while ad numbers at major newspapers like the New York Times (NYSE: NYT) and Gannett (NYSE: GCI) continue to drop, I guess there are still creative ways to use ink to sell a product or in this case tell the world that you're a jackass.
