Lori Rothman Discusses "Gold Bubble" In FOX Business Debut

September 23, 2010 3:28 PM EDT
Ex-Bloomberg anchor Lori Rothman made her debut on FOX Business Network today. Rothman participated in a discussion with mega-gold bull Andrew Schiff of Euro Pacific Capital.

Schiff pointed out that the Fed is targeting a level of inflation as part of their mandate, which is extremely bullish for the price of gold. Other counties are trying to keep up with the falling dollar by devaluing their own currencies, another bullish sign, he said.

Schifff sees gold heading to $2200 as a mid-term price target. He calls it the "set it and forget it" part of your portfolio.

Rothman questions Schiff on if gold is in fact a bubble, claiming there is a huge camp clamoring that it is.

Schiff claims there is no bubble in gold, as it is scarce. "You just can't priting it and flood the world with it," he said. Gold doesn't have bubble characteristics, Schiff claims.

Gold is trading at all-time highs, last trading at $1293.40.
