Las Vegas Strip Revs Rise 1.2% in September, Offset Prior Months Losses (LVS) (MGM) (WYNN)

Gaming revs on the Las Vegas Strip showed modest gains for September, according to the latest data from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Turnover improved 1.2 percent on the Strip to $496.82 million, from $490.94 million in the same period last year. The numbers compare with a drop of 5.7 percent for September 2011 and a dip of 1.2 percent in August.
Traders are keeping watch on casino stocks following the update. Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) is down 1.2 percent, Wynn Resorts (Nasdaq: WYNN) is off 0.4 percent, MGM Resorts (NYSE: MGM) is 1 percent lower, and Boyd Gaming is down 1.9 percent.
