As pointed out at website Zerohedge, brokerage firm Interactive Brokers (Nasdaq: IBKR) announced plans to raise the margin requirements for China reverse merger stocks from 50% to 100% over the next 3 days.

According to Interactive Brokers:

The below list of securities represent companies formed via a method known as a reverse merger which, as a result of elevated risk concerns, are subject to increased margin requirements. This increase will be implemented isn a series of steps scheduled as follows:

April 11, 2011 – 50%
April 12, 2011 – 75%
April 13, 2011 – 100%
