Images of Nokia's (NOK) Upcoming WP8 Lumia Devices Leak; Will Have Unique Design, Sharper Display

This is how you design a unique smartphone.

New images of Nokia's (NYSE: NOK) next Lumia smartphones -- the 820 and 920 -- have hit the web ahead of its September 5th Windows Phone 8 event with Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT). The devices hearken to similar design features seen on the Lumia 900: a square-ish body, embedded black bezel, and wild colors (the photo with this article show red, yellow, and silver).

Reports have the Lumia 920 featuring PureView technology and 4.5-inch touchscreen, which is Nokia's largest for a smartphone. The 820 model will have a smaller 4.3-inch display.

Not much else is known about the devices, save that the 920 model will be known as the 'Phi,' while the 820 will be the 'Arrow.'

Shares of Nokia are up nearly 3 percent in early trading Friday.
