Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) is active Thursday on news that it will be awarded a large U.S. Navy contract.
Top Navy carrier official, Rear Admiral Tom Moore, said today that he's confident the Navy will award the contract.
The Department of Defense's decision to award a $4 billion contract to Huntington Ingalls will be made on April 8th. It will cover construction of the next new aircraft carrier called the USS John F. Kennedy.
Shares of Huntington Ingalls are down 0.8 percent.
