Hewlett-Packard's (NYSE: HPQ) split into two separate companies is on track for a November completion, according to CEO Meg Whitman.
Speaking at the company's annual shareholder meeting, Whitman said one of the companies would be named HP Enterprise, while the other will be HP, Inc. Clearly, HP Enterprise will be focused on the business environment, while HP, Inc., will be focused on consumers and small business. Whitman will run HP Enterprise.
HP, Inc., will trade under the ticker HPQ, while HP Enterprise will trade under HPE.
H-P shareholders will see stock split between the two companies in a yet-to-be-disclosed ratio.
Shares of H-P are positive in early trading Thursday.
