Amid the onset of the massive snowstorm hitting the Northeastern U.S., traders are watch grocers for any uptick in sales with many prepping for a slow weekend.
Names on the watch list might include nationwide chains like Wal-mart (NYSE: WMT), Kroger (NYSE: KR), Safeway (NYSE: SWY), and SUPERVALU (NYSE: SVU).
Dean Foods (NYSE: DF), Cal-Maine (Nasdaq: CALM), Flowers Foods (NYSE: FLO), and Ralcorp (NYSE: RAH) might also see a little upside.
Currently, winter storm 'Nemo' is expected to drop about two feet of snow in Boston, nearly two feet in Hartford, and about a foot or more in New York City.
