Google Play Performance Appears Solid Ahead of I/O 2015 (GOOG)

AppAnnie is out positive on Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG)(Nasdaq: GOOGL) Google Play platform as the search giant girs to kick off its I/O 2015 developers conference today.
AppAnnie noted that app downloads increased 30 percent in Q1 over the prior year, while revenue grew 40 percent.
Japan, the U.S., South Korea, Germany, and Taiwan were the top revenue-generating countries for Google Play.
Applications and mobile games saw strong downloads in Q1, but Games revenue growth was 50 percent for the quarter.
