Flight Delays Hit Northeast as Winter Storm Rolls Through

Investors in airlines are keeping a sharp eye on the Northeastern U.S. on Friday as winter storm conditions have grounded many flights.

Bloomberg notes that areas around Boston received nearly two-feet of snow overnight, while New York's Central Park was at 5-inches earlier this morning.

FlightAware.com noted some of the following delays:
  • Newark Liberty International - 164

  • LaGuardia - 157

  • Boston Logan International - 99

  • Philadelphia International - 93

  • John F. Kennedy - 73

  • Chicago's O'Hare International - 55

  • ExpressJet (Nasdaq: SKYW) - 322

  • Southwest (NYSE: LUV) - 183

  • American Eagle (NYSE: AAL) - 149

  • American Airlines (AAL) - 110

  • United (NYSE: UAL) - 97

  • Republic Airways (Nasdaq: RJET) - 77

  • US Airways - 71
