Famed Talk Show Host Takes Liking to Tesla (TSLA)

Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) shares are modestly positive Wednesday following a post from Oprah Winfrey on Twitter:

While Oprah (along with many, many other influential celebrities) gets paid to endorse products every now an again, it seems unlikely that Tesla would dole out money to the famed talk show host. Oprah may simply like the vehicle, as so many others have.

Will Tesla see a sales "bump" from Oprah's post? There is a difference between spending a few dollars on a book or cosmetic versus nearly $100,000 for a vehicle. Still, any mention from Oprah can't be anything but positive for Tesla.

Tesla shares are up about 1 percent.
