Facebook (FB) U.S. Uniques Slip in May...Maybe...

Unique, New York. Unique, New York.
Though its an exercise to warm-up annunciation, it might be a little mantra for Facebook (Nasdaq: FB).
Recent data from research firm comScore (Nasdaq: SCOR) showed the social media giant slowing down in the U.S. For May, Facebook's U.S. unique users slowed from 158.69 million to 158.01 million. For March 2012, comScore recorded 158.93 million uniques in the U.S.
Comparison to last year's numbers would be tough, comScore said, due to the way it counts users. Overall, changes would reduce the number of uniques counted, so better numbers this year on a system designed to dummy-down numbers from last year would lead one to believe Facebook uniques are improving.
Despite the drop, time spent on Facebook improved from 378.9 minutes in April to 380.8 minutes in May, or 6 hours and 21 minutes per month, just under 12.7 minutes per day. Whether or not comScore accounted for the extra day in May is unclear.
With that in mind then, Facebook should be aiming for more "New York" (the U.S.) and "unique" (more visitors).
Shares are up ahead of the bell Friday.
