Facebook's (FB) WhatsApp Now Up to 600 Million MAUs - Koum

It looks like Mark Zuckerberg will get the last laugh related to the company's often questioned WhatsApp acquisition. Yesterday the CEO and co-founder of Facebook's (NASDAQ: FB) WhatsApp, Jan Koum, tweeted that the service now has 600 million month active users (MAUs).
When Facebook acquired WhatsApp is February 2014 for $19 billion, the service had just 450 million MAUs. As a comparison, Facebook had a total of 1.32 billion MAUs as of June 30, 2014.
Now serving 600,000,000 monthly active users. Yes, active and registered are very different types of numbers...
