FBR Capital Sees Tablets Cannibalizing 28M PCs in 2011 (AAPL, DELL, INTC, RIMM)

Tablets computers are all the rage heading into the holiday shopping season, led by the success of Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPad, and FBR Capital's Craig Berger is adding himself to the growing list of of those who see this as a warning for the PC market.
There has been a recent rash of low forecasts for major players in the PC sector, including Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) , Intel Corp. (NASDAQ: INTC) and Autodesk Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK).
“The math on tablets is not good for PCs,” Berger wrote. “We think every two tablets sold is in place of a PC."
Berger sees Apple producing 40 million iPads is 2011, while rivals Samsung and Research in Motion Ltd. (NASDAQ: RIMM) could bring another 30 million to market. Berger says this will cannibalize 28 million PCs.
