Exxon Mobil (XOM) Peers on Watch Following Q2 Miss (BP) (CVX) (MRO)

Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM) peers are on watch Thursday following a surprise miss from the venerable oil and energy giant.

Net income was $15.91 billion in the quarter, of EPS of $3.41, but taking out about $7.5 billion in gains and EPS was a more modest $1.80 per share. The Street was looking for EPS of $1.95.

Peers/Competitors include: Chevron (NYSE: CVX), Marathon Oil (NYSE: MRO), TOTAL (NYSE: TOT), ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP), BP plc (NYSE: BP), Petrobras (NYSE: PBR), among many others.
