Cramer Says Williams (WMB) 'Can Make Money Now'

July 15, 2008 10:01 AM EDT

Last night's Mad Money featured a positive segment on Williams Companies (NYSE: WMB), a natural gas pipeline play, according to Jim Cramer.

The host said his thesis on Williams is simple: "the more gas there is, the more demand for gas infrastructure there will be." Cramer likes that Williams is currently expanding its pipeline reach into the mid-Atlantic and Rocky Mountain regions.

Also taking a look at Williams drilling operations, Cramer said this part of its business is also attractive. Cramer points out that the company currently has over 22 trillion cubic feet of proven gas reserves and has about 50% of this years production "un-hedged", meaning it will see larger gains as gas prices continue to rise.

The Williams Companies, Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the production, gathering, processing, and transportation of natural gas in the United States.
