Congratulations, Oprah, You're Richer! (WTW)

Oprah Winfrey isn't doing too bad on her Weight Watchers (NYSE: WTW).

The noted daytime TV host and Weight Watchers announced a deal last month, which initial sent shares of Weight Watchers up over 100 percent.

Oprah took a 14.72 percent stake in the company, which amounts to 9,875,571 shares. According to a recent 13D filing on Weight Watchers: As of October 19, 2015, Ms. Winfrey beneficially owned (a) 6,362,103 shares of shares of Common Stock held directly by Ms. Winfrey and (b) 3,513,468 shares of Common Stock underlying options which will become exercisable within 60 days of the date hereof.

Winfrey acquired 6,362,103 shares of Weight Watchers at $6.97 each on October 18th and the options are exercisable at the same price.

Weight Watchers stock has gone up 237 percent since then, which amounts to about $163 million of paper gains for Winfrey. While that might be a windfall for most, given Winfrey's net worth around $3 billion, the sum is still small potatoes.

Shares of Weight Watchers keep moving higher on the session and the stock is now up over 35 percent.
