Citigroup's (C) Pandit Said He Can't Predict Profitablity; Says Govenment Can Sell At "Any Time"

In a CNBC interview with Maria Bartiromo, Citigroup, Inc. (NYSE: C) CEO Vikram Pandit said, while the businesses are performing well, he can't predict profitability.

Pandit confirms that, with the recent preferred exchange, the U.S. government can sell their newly issued 7.7 billion common shares at "any time." He said the share issuance is a partial payback of TARP.
