CNBC's Jim Goldman just told viewers that the MacWorld cancellation has nothing to do with Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) Steve Jobs' health. Earlier today, there was a story on gizmodo saying that the real reason Apple canceled Steve Jobs appearance at MacWold because of his health. At last year's MacWorld, Apple and Steve Jobs launched the MacBook Air.
Apple told CNBC's Jim Goldman that it had no comment other than to say nothing has changed since Apple's announcement two weeks ago, where it said it did not want to invest in MacWorld any longer. Additionally, Jim Goldman spoke to his other reliable Apple sources and they told him nothing has changed with Steve's health.
Obviously, there is not much news this week, and this is a perfect rumor to get the blogs and news hounds buzzing.
