Bridgepoint (BPI) Slammed Again as Ashford Compliance Called into Question by HLC

Bridgepoint Education (NYSE: BPI) is getting slammed once again today, thanks in part to its Ashford University unit.
According to a release earlier, the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (HLC) sent a letter to Ashford, requiring its to provide an report aiming at ensuring the university is still in compliance with HLCs Criteria for Accreditation.
A letter must be submitted to HLC by August 10th, 2012.
Bridgepoint is down 22 percent early, after getting slammed Monday on similar allegations. The stock is down 54 percent from the close last Friday.
