If there's one thing about Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-A)(NYSE: BRK-B) Vice Chairman and Buffett-right-hand-man Charlie Munger, it's that he's a sharp individual. If there's another thing, that would be his heart of gold.
For the third thing, we're thinking he likes higher education.
According to an SEC Form 4 filing Friday, Munger disclosed donating 158 Berkshire Class A shares to the University of Michigan on February 21, 2012. Using the stock's opening price on that day, the total donation is valued at about $18.8 million.
Not too bad for U of M and not too bad for Charlie's tax implications.
