Auto-Parts Makers Surges On Hope For the Sector (ARM, DAN, AXL, LEA)
Auto-parts makers are surging higher today following a smaller-than-expected loss from ArvinMeritor (NYSE: AMR) and comments from the company that North America and South America are showing signs of stabilization, and certain markets in Asia are indicating slight signs of improvement.
Also benefiting the group today was lobbying from the lone-standing US big-3 company Ford Motors (NYSE: F), who Chairman, Bill Ford, said the U.S. Auto Task Force should help suppliers.
