Arena (ARNA) Rivals Mixed Ahead of PDUFA; Volatility Elevated (OREX) (VVUS)

Ahead of Arena Pharmaceuticals' (Nasdaq: ARNA) PDUFA meeting for proposed weight-loss drug lorcaserin today, rivals are looking mixed.
Pre-market action shows VIVUS (Nasdaq: VVUS) lower while Orexigen (Nasdaq: OREX) is looking about 2.7 percent stronger early.
VIVUS has an FDA meeting in July for its obesity drug Qnexa, while Orexigen is looking for approval of its Contrave drug.
Arena shares more than doubled following a positive FDA panel call on May 10th, while VIVUS and Orexigen have seen similar gains.
Volatility for Orexigen has been above its trailing annual average since April while VIVUS volatility has slowly increased since May.
