Well, now it does, anyway. According to BoyGeniusReport, the venerable tech and media company will begin selling unlocked versions of its popular iPhone 5 starting Thursday night.
Physical Apple stores are also beginning to receive stock of the unlocked devices, with BGR noting that sales will begin "soon."
The unlocked devices will be available in both white and black, with pricing as follows: $649 (16-GB), $749 (32-GB), and $849 (64-GB).
Apple shares are up 1.4 percent Thursday afternoon, though traders are likely to want to keep their eyes on Verizon (NYSE: VZ), AT&T (NYSE: T), and Sprint (NYSE: S) to see what the reaction will be.
