Rumors began circulating yesterday that Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) might be laying off some of its retail staff. Well, those can be put to rest.
According to Apple's retail chief John Browett, the Company is actually hiring retail workers and mistakes in store scheduling will be reversed.
Yesterday's rumor comes from macrumors. The report claimed that ,at least at one U.K. store, all employees with under six-months of service were laid off. In addition, some stores in the U.S. and Canada reported seeing significantly reduced shifts over the past several months.
Shares of Apple are up 0.5 percent Thursday.
