Apple (AAPL) MacBook Pro to Run NVIDIA Chips, Utilize New USB 3.0 Ports

NVIDIA Corp. (Nasdaq: NVDA) shares are trading near intraday highs following the announcement that Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) new MacBook pro has an NVIDIA graphics chip the Kepler GeForce GT 650M

The new MacBook Pro line will be available in 13- and 15-inch sizes, starting at $1,199 and running up to as much as you want to pay (just kidding, the top end starts at $2,199).

In addition, the MacBooks will run on Intel's (Nasdaq: INTC) Ivy Bridge quad-core i7 processors, up to 2.7-GHz with potential to 3.7-GHz with a turbo boost.

Both will use the new USB 3.0 port and have about 7 hours of battery life.

Apple is up 0.9 percent while NVIDIA is 4 percent better on the session.
