Apple (AAPL) Higher on Positive iPad Mini Outlook; Shares Up 15% from Near-Term Lows

Apple, Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) shares are now comfortably 1 percent higher on the session, moving well above the $612 level.

The company got a boost earlier as one prominent Piper Jaffray analyst issued positive comments on potential iPad mini sales.

Apple now up 15 percent from a low of around $530 hit in mid-May, right about the time Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) launched its IPO.
