Apple (AAPL) iPhone 6 Lauded by Several Notable Reviewers

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) shares are on watch Wednesday as some of the first reviews of its iPhone 6/6+ roll in.

Reuters cites some reviewers, which said the iPhone 6 is the best smartphone available, or best 'ever made,' in some cases.

Re/code's Walt Mossberg said, I think it's a terrific phone. In my view, it's the best smartphone on the market, when you combine its hardware, all-new operating system, and the Apple ecosystem whose doors it opens.

The WSJ's Jeffrey Fowler said Apple had successfully addressed its size deficiency.

Molly Wood, of the New York Times, liked the thinner, flatter, and more-rounded shape, but she noted that the phone's new curves and finish come at the cost of it feeling slippery.

Shares of Apple are lower in early trading.
