Apple (AAPL) iOS Dominates U.S. Mobile Device, Internet Market Share

New data from comScore (Nasdaq: SCOR) Monday shows that Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) products are the most connected devices in the U.S.

Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android is the most dominant OS in the smartphone realm, at 43.7 percent of market share. But Apple's iOS dominates overall connected market share when taking into consideration tablet devices.

Including Apple's iPad, iOS market share is at 43.1 percent in the U.S., compared with 34.1 percent for Android, and 15.4 percent for third-place Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM).

Apple's iOS also accounts for the largest share of mobile Internet traffic, at 58.5 percent, compared with 31.9 percent for Android, and 5 percent for also-ran RIM.

Apple is 4.1 percent stronger on the session, Google is 3.5 percent better, and RIM is 0.8 percent higher.
