Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 6 Plus might be hard to find now, but could outpace the iPhone 6 in overall sales very soon.
Digitimes said Friday that shipments of analog ICs to the two iPhone 6 producers -- Foxconn and Pegatron -- has more units heading toward Foxconn, which produces the larger iPhone 6 Plus. About 60 percent of the components are heading to Foxconn, sources said.
Notably, analog IC shipments to the two manufacturers was initially even.
One caveat of more iPhone 6 Plus models being sold is that it could eat into sales of the iPad mini.
Apple is lower in early trading Friday.
