Apple (AAPL) Says Apple Music Retention Rate Much Higher than Survey Suggests

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is refuting numbers from a recent survey, which said about 48 percent of Apple Music users had stopped using it.
On Tuesday morning, MusicWatch also saidMore than one quarter (28 percent) of Spotify Premium customers also use Apple Music, but the draw from popular ad-supported services is more modest: Just 11 percent of Spotify Free users, and 6 percent of Pandora users, now use Appleās offering. .
ZDNet cites one Apple executive, who claims that about 79 percent of people who signed up for an Apple Music trial are still using the service, or about four in five users.
Apple is offering a three-month free trial of Apple Music, after which users will pay $10 per month for a subscription.
Apple is lower in early trading Thursday.
