Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) long-rumored, long-dreamed about iWatch could finally become a reality. According to reports mid-day from tech blog Re/Code, Apple will introduce a wearable device along with two new iPhone models at its September 9th event. While the report didn't specify a watch, many expect this will be the case.
Re/Code speculates the device will make good use of the HealthKit health and fitness platform as well as HomeKit.
In May, Apple SVP Eddy Cue said the company has the "best product pipeline that I've seen in my 25 years at Apple." While the bold statement was taken with a grain of salt by investors, CEO Tim Cook backed up Cue's comments on numerous occasions. So, if Apple can pull off a 4.7-inch iPhone 6, a 5.5-inch version, and an iWatch at the September event many may start to believe.
This could finally be the "innovation" Apple skeptics have been hammering the company about.
Apple declined to comment on the report.
