Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) is on watch Friday following speculation that one of its newest devices isn't seeing spectacular sales out of the gate. Or, maybe not.
The NY Post noted that Amazon's newest Fire TV set-top box is out of stock until October 30th. While that could mean superior initial sales of the device, it might also mean supply chain issues, or that Amazon placed a lower initial order of the device based on past sales.
The Post also said that reviews for the Fire TV have been unspectacular, with users complaining about software glitches and that popular streaming services like Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) and Hulu weren't "user friendly."
Shares of Amazon are indicated higher in early trading.
