Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) could see a boost in sales following its latest initiative.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Amazon has lifted the restriction on what would qualify for free shipping on orders over $35. Whereas orders had to come from the same seller before, now the total basket size will be the determining factor, regardless of whom is selling the item.
That should triple the number of items available for free shipping.
Earlier this month, Amazon said it saved customers $2 billion in shipping fees during the holidays.
