If you buy a large, flat-screen TV or washing machine from Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN), where will you go to have someone help you install it?
Amazon hopes you'll turn to them.
While previously reported, Re/code noted that Amazon is beginning to advertise its handyman services, dubbed Amazon Local Services, across several states.
Amazon promotes the service provider listings when users perform certain searches, such as "ceiling fan," "TV mounts," or something similar.
Amazon is looking for a 20 percent cut of services costing $1,000 or less and 15 percent for services costing over $1,000. Amazon will waive a monthly subscription fee for providers through June 2015.
Along with Amazon, Angie's List (Nasdaq: ANGI) is also on watch Tuesday.
