Relational Investors Raises Stake in Genzyme (GENZ), Shows New Stakes in Occidental Pet (OXY) and Freeport-McMoRan (FCX)

Relational Investors LLC issued their 13F for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. The firm raised their stakes in Genzyme (Nasdaq: GENZ) pretty significantly, and showed new stakes in Occidental Petroleum (NYSE: OXY) and Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE: FCX). Home Depot (NYSE: HD) remains their largest position at nearly $900 million.

• - New 2,640,000 share stake in Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE: FCX)
  
• - New 3,970,500 share stake in Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX)
  
• - New 996,635 share stake in Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC)
  
• - Lowers stake in National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: NSM) by 5.2 million shares to 22,493,772 shares
  
• - Lowers stake in Sun Micro (Nasdaq: JAVA) by 25.7 million shares to 9,000,100 shares
  
• - Lowers stake in SPDRs (NYSE: SPY) by 1.78 million shares to 2,574,614 shares
  
• - The firm maintained their 36.4 million share stake in Home Depot (NYSE: HD), which is their largest position at nearly $900 million.
