R.H. Donnelley Corporation (NYSE: RHD) 65% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.38, including items, so does not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.06). Revenues for the quarter were $648 million, versus the consensus of $640.80 million. Sales for FY08 are expected to be about $2.6 billion, versus the consensus of $2.61 billion.
Smurfit-Stone Container (Nasdaq: SSCC) 25% HIGHER; reports Q3 loss of $0.08, 4 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.04). Revenues for the quarter were $1.88 billion, versus the consensus of $1.89 billion.
AirTran Holdings, Inc., (NYSE: AAI) 20% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.91, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.39). Revenues for the quarter were $673.3 million, versus the consensus of $675.74 million.
Spartan Motors Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAR) 20% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.45, 25 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenues for the quarter were $237.5 million, versus the consensus of $174.5 million.
ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANAD) 18% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.00, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.00. Revenues for the quarter were $58.1 million, versus the consensus of $62.75 million. Sees Q4 loss of $0.12-$0.14, versus the consensus for a profit of $0.02 and sales of $44-$46 million, versus the Street estimate of $65 million.
Amazon.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) 13% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.27, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenues for the quarter were $4.26 billion, versus the consensus of $4.27 billion. Sees Q4 sales of $6-$7 billion, versus the consensus of $7.05 billion.
ADC Telecommunications Inc. (Nasdaq: ADCT) 12% LOWER; ADC currently expects sales from continuing operations for fiscal year 2008 to be in the range of $1.470-$1.495 billion. Previous annual guidance provided on Sept. 4, 2008 reflected ADC's earlier expectation that fiscal 2008 sales would be in the range of $1.500-$1.520 billion
F5 Networks (Nasdaq: FFIV) 11% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.24, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenues for the quarter were $171.3 million, versus the consensus of $171.83 million. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.26-$0.27, versus the consensus of $0.24 and sales of $172-$174 million, versus the consensus of $174.9 million. Company to buyback $200 million worth of stock.
Citrix Systems (Nasdaq: CTXS) 10% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.43, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenues for the quarter were $399 million, versus the consensus of $391.54 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.46-$0.48, versus the consensus of $0.45 and sales of $425-$440 million, versus the Street estimate of $434.5 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $1.61-$1.63, versus the consensus of $1.56 and sales of $1.59-$1.61 billion, versus the consensus of $1.6 billion.
Tractor Supply Company (Nasdaq: TSCO) 10% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.53, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenues for the quarter were $733.9 million, versus the consensus of $705.82 million. Tractor Supply reaffirms forecast.
iRobot Corp. (Nasdaq: IRBT) 10% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.15, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenues for the quarter were $92.4 million, versus the consensus of $74.8 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $0.08-$0.10, versus the consensus of $0.14 and sales of $310-$315 million, versus the consensus of $394.5 million.
Dow Chemical (NYSE: DOW) 9% HIGHER; reports Q3 earnings of $0.60 per share, ex-items, above the consensus of $0.57. Revenues came in at $15.41 billion, versus the consensus of $15.63 billion. Dow sees a likely 'global recession' through most of 2009.
Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX) 9% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.26, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenues for the quarter were $3.03 billion, versus the consensus of $3.16 billion. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.19-$0.23, versus the consensus of $0.36 and sales of $2.85-$3.05 billion, versus the Street estimate of $3.25 billion.
Southern Copper Corp. (NYSE: PCU) 7% LOWER; Goldman downgrade
Intersil Corporation (Nasdaq: ISIL) 6% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.44, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.40. Revenues for the quarter were $218.7 million, versus the consensus of $220.38 million. Intersil sees Q4 EPS between $0.22 to $0.26 versus consensus of $0.41.
Amgen (Nasdaq: AMGN) 5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.23, versus the analyst estimate of $1.08. Revenues for the quarter were $3.9 billion, versus the consensus of $3.7 billion. Raises FY08 EPS from $4.25-$4.45 to $4.45-$4.55, versus the consensus of $4.38 and revs of $14.9-$15.2 billion, versus prior guidance of $14.6-$14.9 billion, compared to consensus of $14.8 billion.
AK Steel Holding Corp. (NYSE: AKS) 5% LOWER; BofA starts at Sell
Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE: FCX) 5% LOWER; Goldman downgrades to Neutral
Fulton Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: FULT) 4% HIGHER; will replace Foundry Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FDRY) in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on a date to be announced. Foundry Networks is being acquired by Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: BRCD) in a transaction still pending final approvals.
CorVel Corp. (NASDAQ: CRVL) 4% HIGHER; will replace OMNOVA Solutions Inc (NYSE: OMN) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Monday, October 27. As of today’s close, OMNOVA Solutions had a market capitalization of approximately $27 million, ranking it 600th in the index.
Terex Corporation (NYSE: TEX) 4% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.08, versus the analyst estimate of $1.33. Revenues for the quarter were $2.51 billion, versus the consensus of $2.43 billion. Lowers Q4 EPS to $0.80-$0.90, versus the consensus of $1.23. Cuts FY08 EPS guidance from $6.35-$6.65 to $5.69-$5.79, versus the consensus of $6.50. Cutting global workforce by 6%.
Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) 3% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.47, versus the analyst estimate of $1.28. Revenues for the quarter were $135.4 million, versus the consensus of $134.72 million. Sees Q4 revs of $151-$155 million, versus the Street estimate of $151.5 million.
Skechers USA, Inc (NYSE: SKX) 2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.60, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenues for the quarter were $403.2 million, versus the consensus of $414.15 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.15-$0.23, versus the consensus of $0.27 and sales of $305-$320 million, versus the Street estimate of $323.3 million.
Gardner Denver (NYSE: GDI) 2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.88, ex-items, 13 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.75. Revenues for the quarter were $480.3 million, versus the consensus of $479.07 million. Lowers its Q4 EPS guidance to $0.77-$0.82 and its FY08 EPS guidance to $3.29-$3.35. The Street is currently estimating Q4 EPS of $0.93 and FY08 EPS of $3.61.
Clean Harbors Inc. (NASDAQ: CLHB) 2% HIGHER; will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Monday, October 27. Clean Harbors is taking the place of DRS Technologies Inc. (NYSE: DRS) which was removed from the index after the close of trading today upon completion of its acquisition by S&P Global 1200 constituent Finmeccanica SpA .
