Medtronic (MDT) Chairman to Retire; CEO Named as New Chairman
Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE: MDT) today announced that its Chairman, Arthur Collins Jr., will retire from the company at Medtronic's annual meeting of shareholders. The Company's CEO, William Hawkins, has been named Chairman, effective August 21.
Medtronic also announced that Kendall J. Powell, chairman and CEO of General Mills, will become chair of
the board's corporate governance committee, also effective August 21.
