Separately, First State announced that Michael J. Blake, founder and current President & CEO of Olympus Financial Advisors, has been appointed to the First State Board of Directors effective January 25, 2008. Also, Douglas M. Smith, M.D., has tendered his resignation from the Board of Directors effective January 24, 2008 for personal reasons. Dr. Smith has been a Director of the company since its initial public offering in 1993 and served on the Audit Committee and Nominating Committee.
