Steven Ballmer is retiring as Microsoft (NYSE: MSFT) CEO within 12 months, the company said today.
Based on the most recent financial data, Ballmer holds about 333,252,990 shares of Microsoft. With the stock's $2 gain today, he is up $672,505,980 or so early on Friday's session.
Of course, he won't be able to dump all that stock at once, but its probably a nice feel for Ballmer given the 6 percent surge in the stock price on news that he would be exiting.
